Currently operating in the South East, the Midlands, and the North East, Orchestra Land is on an ever-expanding mission to unlock the potential of under-utilised land and property throughout town planning systems. Running the show is a passionate team of land, planning, and development experts who are committed to both the land owners and the local communities at large.
The Challenge
Orchestra Land is a dynamic business, operating from multiple locations, with many projects being handled simultaneously. This meant that, once they started to enjoy spells of significant growth, it became increasingly hard for them to consolidate their data and maintain efficient communications.
Additionally, there were concerns with cyber security. Data protection is paramount in the Land Development business – a hack or a widespread data loss could end up being disastrous for both the team and the landowners. Therefore, their data not only needed to be protected against hackers, but it also needed to be thoroughly backed-up on a secure server.
The Solution
We worked closely with the Managing Director and associated management to tailor a new IT infrastructure that was right for them. Since they were working in multiple locations, the most important step was to procure a cloud-based solution that could seamlessly consolidate all of their projects.
The cloud solution we implemented came with our fully managed support, including security and back-up. All their data would now be secure, and the team now had the means to function and communicate without interruption. With everything in place, we continue to monitor their systems to ensure all is running optimally, and the team knows that we are just a phone call away should any issues arise.
Additionally, we were able to offer them specific advice regarding General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and website maintenance. In the fast-moving landscape of land and property development, this would help to ensure they remain fully compliant, and that their website was running as a worthy online basecamp for their overall business.
The Result
Orchestra Land is now far better equipped to handle the dynamic, ever-growing nature of its own operation. It no longer matters where members of the team are located at any given moment, or how many projects are being handled simultaneously – with all data and communications being stored and actioned through the cloud, the entire operation has been streamlined significantly.
Their cyber defences have also been significantly bolstered. Along with our ongoing support, they have all the tools in place to keep their data backed-up, protected against hackers, and compliant with GDPR.
